"A perfectly silly, genius idea" -- David Letterman

Lea Michele

One of the fun things about doing CelebriGum is overhearing the conversations on the street below.

"Excuse me, miss, do you know where I can take umbrella lessons?  I can't figure out how to work this thing.  No matter what I do, it's just a stick with flaps."

"51st Street and 7th Avenue, the New York Umbrella Academy.  Like I just told the guy with the black and red umbrella: it's expensive but worth it.  Small class size, theory plus real-world experience, and help preparing for the test."

"Don't waste your money!  There are websites with tutorials you can take for free!  Several of my friends swear by flapstickhelp.com!"

"For now, if you're getting too wet, you're welcome to crawl under the car."

  1. I see you're messing with our minds again with mixed chronology photos - rain, no rain, SUV, car, etc.

    1. Not really. Those four photos are in chronological order, as it happens. The car was parked behind the SUV. I have no problem with going out of order for a fantastic comedic/artistic effect, but it didn't happen this time.

I'm just messing with your mind in general.

    2. I'm pretty sure I see some abandoned pants behind the press railing. Hmm, that might be a good idea for a mid season replacement...

    3. CBS is already planning the spin-off. "Abandoned Pants: Miami".

    4. You guys are mixing comedy universes that were never intended to intersect. Your hubris may lead to disaster.

I'm sure it'll be fine, really, but nobody but me will know what you're talking about.

    1. Does that mean I get to be part of Comic Con next year?

(Or is it ComicCon? Or ComiCon? Don't know. Not really my thing.

It's all good as long as I never have to hear that umbrella song by Rihanna again for the rest of my life...
