Kaley Cuoco

Many years from now the parents of the little girl in the stroller will tell her, "You were there the day Kaley Cuoco of "The Big Bang Theory" was photographed for CelebriGum!"

"Wait, you mean CelebriGum used to be, like, photos of celebrities with gum?"

"Yes, before Steve Young built it into today's multi-trillion-dollar empire encompassing gambling, space tourism, fashions for the elderly, casual dining, replacement organs, and lawn care, CelebriGum was literally about celebrities and a piece of old gum."

"I never even thought of that.  It's one of those words you just grow up hearing all the time, and it never occurs to you to wonder what it actually means.  So when did Mr. Young stop taking the pictures of stars with the gum?"

"Stop?  He hasn't stopped.  He's still going strong at age 79."

"Oh dear."

  1. I've long been interested in fashions for the elderly!

  2. Hoooolarious. So why the frick did Kaley put her hair up for the show? She had it down in your photo. I mean, the Folgers lady always wore her hair up. Very disappointing.

    3. Oh yeah. Her.

I think we've just gotten an unintended glimpse into one of Karl's formative psycho-sexual experiences.

    5. True internet time-wasting odyssey yesterday: 1. Looked up the old Folgers video. 2. Looked up the actress who played Mrs. Olson on Wikipedia. 3. Found out her hometown in Iowa redid their water tower to look like a coffee pot in her honor. 4. Found that town and looked at water tower in Google Earth. 5. Also found they turned a second water tower into a coffee cup. 6. Also found out the Folgers Coffee Building in downtown San Francisco is on the Register of Historic Places. 7. Looked at that building in Google Earth. Time wasted: about 45 minutes. Psychotic? Probably.

  3. So glad to hear of CelebriGum's future multi-national, diversified organizational growth. Also in the future will the word/name "CelebriGum" achieve status similar to others like "Kleenex" and "Band-Aid," where the product name represents all in its product category?[Watch out Hubba Bubba!] Oh, and I assume you'll have gone public, so what's your ticker symbol? Might like to invest ... Thanks.

    1. Jan, your impressive use of phrases like "diversified organizational growth" and "ticker symbol" have convinced me to offer you the position of CFO.

You'll be compensated in leveraged buybacks or hedged bond options or one of those kinds of terms an artiste like me doesn't understand.

  4. Hmm, it appears Celebrigum may have been too busy with strategic corporate planning to take care of current business - i.e. we note the absence of a photo of the gum's former colleague in Second City, and recent Late Show guest, Martin Short. Canadians are apoplectic, first the NHL lockout and now this!
