Lindsay Lohan

Take that, doubters!  She showed up!

So did a lot of other people.

This photo in particular has fun details.

The excitable paparazzo

The just-happened-by hansom cab driver

The excited mom and the unimpressed kid

The encroaching guys being cautioned by security

The distracted woman with the leopard print parasol

 The shouter

Lots more interesting detail in this photo…

...including this guy, who may have actually met Lindsay a couple times.

Be well, Lindsay!  Keep disproving the doubters!

David Spade and Bonus Items

Intern Randi Furman got David Spade as he arrived.

Not bad for an on-the-fly attempt by a first-timer, but let's see how the old pro does as Mr. Spade leaves.

Hmm.  I think I like Randi's better, actually.

It barely matters.  Randi, remind us who's the true star of all these photos!

That's right!  At CelebriGum, the gum has always been the true celebrity!

Tune in next time for more --

--"Boo!  Unsatisfying!"

--"We want more and better photos in this entry!  The sub-par photos of David Spade aren't enough!"

--"Don't try to get out of it with some glib conclusion about the gum!"

--"We made you and we can destroy you!"

Whoah, okay, calm down.  I hear you.  I'll find you some other stuff.

Here are some bonus goodies.

Jim Carrey, Mr. Wacky Giant Feet, stepping out of the stage door

Don't wait for the next FanGum Photo Contest!  Keep those FanGum photos coming to celebrigum@gmail.com!

And if you have better photos of David Spade with gum, what the heck, send those too.

Louis C.K.

Louis is only the second CelebriGum subject I've known personally.  (The first was Conan.)  Louis worked on the Late Show as a writer for a while in the mid-90's.

Now, some 18 years later, he's back as a big star.  A lead guest, not just a late-in-the-show comedian.

However, based on the "Louie" clip Dave showed during Louis' guest segment, it would seem that in this photo he's extended the wrong finger.

Good to have you back, Louis!

Regis Philbin and an Interruption

Regis arrived in a Mercedes sedan…

… but after his segment he walked outside and tried to get into a Lincoln.

Regis was stymied.  Where was his car?

Fans took advantage of the confusion to... eh, this story is bogging down.  What this entry needs is a

***** FABULOUS BROADWAY SHOW INTERRUPTION *****

It's the cast of "Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella", coming over from their theater across the street to perform a song on the Late Show!

Guys in green suits!  That's what this entry needed!

The number's over!  Back you go, kids!

Sorry, Regis, this is more fun than watching you hang around by the stage door waiting for your car.

There's Cinderella with a guy working on something under her dress!

The excitement is over.

The coast is clear, Regis.  Your Mercedes has appeared.  Sorry I cut off your head.

Just another day on weird, wonderful 53rd Street.

Shia LaBeouf

I thought I was done with the APMA, the American Podiatric Medical Association.

They'd been leaning on me for years to do a CelebriGum entry about foot problems, and I figured the Jim Carrey entry, in which he tromped around 53rd Street in wacky giant feet, would have been just what they wanted.

The APMA was not amused.  "Buffoonish," they said.  "Not a serious look at foot health problems.  If anything, it trivializes feet.  Unacceptable."

"There's nothing I can do," I said.  "We very rarely get celebrities with foot issues."

"We'll take care of that," they said.

That was a couple weeks ago.  I didn't think about my exchange with the APMA again until I saw Shia LaBeouf arriving at the show.

What's that on his left foot?

An orthopedic boot!

On the show, Shia insisted to Dave that he'd broken several metatarsal bones in his foot while jumping rope to train for a boxing movie.  Yeah, right.

Shia is understandably reluctant to speak up against the APMA's thugs, but we all know what really happened.  Forget "first do no harm" -- this gang of podiatrists is happy to take a bat to celebrity's foot if it'll draw attention to foot maladies.

Shia, I'm so sorry you got caught in the middle of this.

I hope you're satisfied, you foot health monsters.

Eva Mendes

Today's Celebrity Gum Photography Lesson:  Challenging lighting conditions.

Here to illustrate is one of the stars of "The Place Beyond The Pines," Eva Mendes.

Natural lighting at dusk: too dark.

The blast of a paparazzi flash: too harsh and glaring.

The mellow glow off a bald guy's head: just right!

Practice with your own gum, celebrities, and bald guys!

Brian Williams

"There he is.  Are you ready?"         "Hell yeah.  Let's do this."

"Mr. Williams!  Would you autograph our case of bottled water?"

"Please, Mr. Wiliams!  We've been waiting for hours!"

"I don't think he's gonna sign."          "Offer him a bottle of water."

"Mr. Williams!  Please!  You can have a bottle if you're thirsty!"

"We brought this water all the way from 10th Avenue!  And we dressed up!"

"Mmm, delicious water!  Just sign!"

"We love your news show!  Big fans!  Please sign, Mr. Williams!"

"Crap.  There he goes."

"I thought Brian Williams signed water.  I thought it was a thing."

"Guess not.  Okay, we're dressed up and we've got this friggin' water.  Now what?"

"Let's go over to Fallon.  Maybe someone famous there will sign it."

"Okay.  But you carry it, my arms are tired."

"No can do, bro.  I'm carrying the credential."

Tune in next time, when the third paparazzo tries to get Willie Nelson to autograph his yoga mat!

Donald Trump

A dramatic arrival by this larger-than-life character!  The bold red tie, the elegant limo, the commanding presence: a classic photo!

Thumbs-up to the crowd!  A shrewd move by a man who knows how to cultivate popular opinion!

There he goes!  Fabulous!  A CelebriGum winner for sure!

(Full disclosure: CelebriGum, like the Miss USA pageant, is now owned by Donald Trump.)

(Additional disclosure: I didn't want to sell out to Trump, but I was in a bind.  I've learned a hard lesson this month: don't stash CelebriGum's cash reserves in the Bank of Cyprus.)

Albert Brooks

In honor of the beginning of Passover, let's review the 10 Plagues of the Arriving Late Show Guest, as illustrated by comedy legend Albert Brooks.

1.  Difficult-to-exit SUV's

2.  Publicists

3.  Blinding flashes from the --

Hold on, my phone's ringing.

Oh my gosh!  That was Kate Upton calling to accept my invitation from the previous entry!  I really didn't think it was going to happen!  This is so great!  I have to go get ready.  Sorry, but I can't finish the rest of this entry.

What?  Of course Kate Upton really just called me!  Of course I was prepared to go all the way to ten plagues!  You people are so cynical.
