Hank Aaron

As America turns once again to baseball, it's an honor to have Hank Aaron, legendary star of the "national pastime," on CelebriGum, the "national wastetime."

What did you think of that one, gum?

Gum: "A weak grounder to short!"

Oh yeah?  Well, look at you -- you're a ball that's high and outside.

"Is that even a joke?"

That's enough, gum.  Let's not fight in front of the kids.

"You're a ball that's high and outside" is solid gold! (That's some Big League Chew, right there.)

Wow. I had to come back when I saw this little piece of synchronicity: http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/Matt-Diaz-uses-bubble-gum-for-pinch-hit-warmup?urn=mlb-wp2153

  3. Awesome. I hear the gum originally came from Wrigley Field.

  4. Wrigley Field. Ah, good.
Nice find, Toast. I think I'll put a link to that clip on the Facebook CelebriGum page, with a tip of the hat to you.

Thanks, Steve. Wouldn't it be amazing if the Gum is so old that it started out its life in a pack of Topps baseball cards nestled against a Hank Aaron rookie card?
